It is not often that one feel enthusiastic about going out and excercise the right of voting when you look at the political scene , so rife with candidates who have vested interests , no education , a complete lack of understanding of common man's daily issues and are driven solely from an aspiration to achieve personal gains.

Well, now you have a reason to get up and chose somebody who understands you and has been working for you for last 35 years!

Ujjwal Keskar was in 10th standard when he was inspired by Hon. Shri Jai Prakash Narayanji and against imposed Emergency, volunteered to go to jail.
Since then he has been involved actively in understanding of common man's problems and has applied his skills to the machinery of government, law and order to solve the issues.

- As a corporator for Karvenagar area, he has brought two gardens, Tathawade Udyan and Jitendra Abhisheki Udyan. This green project also serves the purpose of promoting the cultural values of our socienty.

- Ujjwal Keskar studied the Water Supply Management Scheme that was slated to spend Rs. 735 Crores and proved that the same can be implemented effectively in Rs. 344 Crores. His contribution to city's fund, a whopping Rs. 391 Crores!!

- Under the scheme of JNNURM, the city rightfully was eligible for a grant; however the state government tried to provide this aid in the form of a loan!!  Ujjwal noticed this underhandedness and launched a petition against Chief Minister. He succeeded to convert this loan into a grant and freed Pune city from a unjustified loan of Rs. 1000 Crores!!

- Under the same scheme of JNNURM, the buses were planned to be given to private bus fleet owners to service the vested interest of those involved. Again Ujwal launched a petition against Secretary-CM, Divisional Commissioner, CMD-PMPML and other officers and made sure that the grant was used to procure buses under the ownership of P.M.C. and P.C.M.C.

- He is one of the few political leaders in Pune who maintains a daily contact with the voter and is available at all hours.

- A man who appreciates art and culture himself, he has given platforms to many a programs such as Vande Mataram Vyakhyan Mala , a program in the memory of revolutionaries who embraced death for the freedom of our beloved country.

Ujjwal Keskar has managed these and several other feats as a corporator and is confidently standing now in front of us. He appeals us to make a choice, the right one. Not for anybody's sake, but for ourselves.
